Flying Private isn’t as hard as you may think

Flying private has always been thought of as a luxury available only to the very wealthy and those that have the skills and income to purchase and maintain their own planes.  Within the past few years, however, jet travel has changed quite a bit as more companies have come onto the scene offering a wealth of different options and discounts.  Now it is easier than ever to fly private.

You don’t have to have your own plane

Many private jet owners work with charter companies to offer their planes and services to those that wish to fly private.  This allows you to fly alone, with friends and family, or with colleagues as needed on a jet with no other passengers besides your party.  Since most charter companies don’t actually have to purchase planes either, this arrangement often opens up a wider variety of available types and styles of aircraft to choose from.

Charters aren’t only for the Super Rich

Charters are comparable in price to first class tickets and may turn out to be a bit cheaper when you fly with a group of people.  Private jet charters generally start at around $6000, though prices fluctuate depending on the type of aircraft, size of the party and the destination.  If you fly frequently, it may actually be surprisingly affordable to sign up to a jet cards program and pay a monthly fee for a certain amount of flight time per month

Booking is easy

There is no need to go through a travel agency to book a plane.  Most private jet charter companies now have a website, app and a phone number all of which can be used to book a private jet.  Using these resources, it is easy to book a private jet for the following day or plan ahead and book your flight in advance.

Departure is a dream compared to commercial

When you get to the airport, flying private actually becomes much easier than flying commercial.  You may depart from a small private airport that has little other traffic, or you may depart from a fixed-base operator, or FBO at a larger airport.  FBO’s are usually quiet, pleasant buildings that offer amenities and a comfortable place to wait for a private jet.  There are no long security lines or any other things that make commercial airports unpleasant at FBOs.

You may get closer to your destination

Private jets are usually smaller than commercial aircraft, so the planes may be able to land at smaller airports that are closer to your destination.  This can save you time and money while allowing you to start your vacation or handle your business sooner.  You may be able to avoid delays that are common at larger commercial airports.

Flying private is easy and much more enjoyable!  Call your local private jet charter agency today to find out more or to book your next trip.
