What can I say about the food at Grecotel Corfu Imperial?  Sublime is the first word that comes to mind.  The best and freshest ingredients exquisitely cooked by Chef  Konstantinos Karapanagiotis and his team.  Delicious fish courses with Greek dishes. YALI RESTAURANT:

My five course lunch at YALI RESTAURANT was a wonderful surprise.  Dining and enjoying the views over the Ionian Sea, sipping a delicious Greek white wine and savouring these mouth watering dishes.  Who could ask for more?

Tzatziki and Fava dips, Greek Salad, Seafood Salad followed by Greek Summer Meze.  The Meze of Grilled Haloumi Cheese, Farmhouse Fried Potatoes and Baked Aubergine with Feta and Gruyere Cheese was a meal in itself!

Salt crusted Sea Bass Fillet and Chicken Souvlaki followed.  The dessert of Homemade Orange pie and Ice Cream was too delicious to resist.

As I write this review, I am trying to remember when I last had such great meals as these at Grecotel Corfu Imperial.  Bear in mind that I toured through France and Northern Italy just before my Corfu trip….. this was the best in my opinion.  Great ingredients cooked in a light modern, healthy style, this is the best kind of food, especially enjoyed in the setting of Grecotel Corfu Imperial with such amazing views.

ARISTOS RESTAURANT:

Appropriately named after Aristotle Onassis whose private island Scorpios is nearby, Aristos has elegant decor, outstanding service and a newly designed menu.  The Michelin starred chef Thanos Feskos created the superb menu for 2018.  This is a more formal setting than the other restaurants at Grecotel Corfu Imperial and gives guests a choice of different dining experiences during their stay at the hotel.

A typical Michelin Restaurant menu (I see Cod on absolutely every Michelin menu in France at the moment) beautifully presented and with delicious flavours.  The service was absolutely first class as it is in all the Grecotel Restaurants.

There are 8 different restaurants , guests have so many styles of cuisine and decor to choose, all looking out over the Ionian Sea with breath taking views in every direction.

KUMQUAT RESTAURANT

My favourite meal!  If a chef asked me to create my own Menu, it would be the one I enjoyed here at Kumquat.  All of my favourite dishes, beautifully cooked and presented.  Culinary heaven starting with a variety of sushi: California Roll, Tempura Shrimp Roll, Salmon Teriyaki Roll, Nigiri Salmon.

A dizzying array of dishes followed, I’m not sure how I ate it all but gave it a jolly good go!  Tempura Shrimps (sublime) with vegetables.  Then ..Crab Rangoon, a particular favourite.

Sea Bass Ceviche, Bao Buns with Pickled and fresh vegetables and Soya Sauce, Oriental style Noodles with Shrimp and vegetables were among the appetisers.  Then, my favourite, Coco Lobsters with Coconut Milk, Spicy Curry and Ginger were the main course.  I’m feeling hungry just telling you about it!

Kumquat Dessert and Strawberries rounded off this perfect meal.  There is a Tender dock for my friends with Yachts if you want to stop by and enjoy this superb restaurant.

GRECOTEL DAPHNIA BAY DASSIA TAVERNAKI RESTAURANT

You have three Grecotel resorts on this Peninsula and the hotel Pontoon will transport you around free of charge.  Go explore and dine at the restaurants too!  I enjoyed lunch at Tavernaki Restaurant following and exciting watersport session.

A classic Greek Taverna with superb food.  I loved the happy atmosphere and colourful vibe at Tavernaki as well as the delicious meal.  Daphnia Bay Dassia is an all inclusive resort and so guests can eat as much as they like in any restaurant with food and wine included.

My meal started with Tzatziki, Aubergine Pate (wish I had the recipe for this dish!) and Taramas. Followed by Marinated fresh Anchovies, Fried Kalahari and Shrimps in Tomato Sauce.  Main course was Sea Bream and dessert Ravani with Ice Cream.  It was a triumph of flavours enjoyed on the pretty terrace looking out to sea.

A superb wine tasting followed with the knowledgeable in house Sommelier, so good to learn more about some excellent Greek wines.

GRECOTEL EVA PALACE, STEAK AND SUSHI RESTAURANT:

Watching the sun go down with a delicious cocktail is a special memory of Grecotel Eva Palace.  A superb dinner on the terrace followed at Steak and Sushi Restaurant.  The  views at all the Grecotel Resorts in Corfu will take your breath away!

Seriously good Sushi to start followed by a fish dish for me and steak for everyone else.  The Steaks looked exceptional.  A convivial atmosphere, delicious Greek wine and superb meal under the stars.  What a memorable treat!

A wonderful band played in the background near the swimming pool and this was such a special evening.
