If you’re someone who enjoys going on vacations, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures, then the Scott Resort might be a name that you’ve come across quite often. Located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, this resort is a popular choice for travelers looking for luxury and comfort.

But have you ever wondered what the Scott Resort was before it became what it is today? If yes, then you’re in the right place. In this article, we’ll take a trip down memory lane and explore the history of the Scott Resort.

The Scott Resort was originally known as the Firesky Resort & Spa. It was built in 2004 by Millennium Hotels and Resorts with an investment of $40 million. The resort was designed to cater to tourists visiting Arizona and provide them with a comfortable stay.

In its early days, Firesky Resort & Spa was known for its unique Southwestern architecture that blended modern designs with traditional elements. The resort had 204 guest rooms and suites spread across four floors. Each room was designed to offer a luxurious experience to guests with amenities such as flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffee makers, and plush bedding.

The resort also had several restaurants that served delicious food from different parts of the world. The Taggia Restaurant was one such restaurant that served Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The outdoor dining area of Taggia Restaurant was particularly popular among guests as it offered stunning views of Camelback Mountain.

Apart from dining options, Firesky Resort & Spa also had several recreational facilities such as a fitness center, spa services, two swimming pools, and outdoor fireplaces where guests could relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

However, in 2017, the Firesky Resort & Spa underwent a massive renovation worth $15 million. The renovation aimed at rebranding the resort into something that reflected Arizona’s culture more effectively. As part of this effort, Firesky Resort & Spa was renamed the Scott Resort & Spa.

The renovation brought about significant changes to the resort’s architecture and interiors. The new design incorporated elements such as adobe brick walls, terracotta tiles, and wooden beams to create a more authentic Southwestern look. The guest rooms were also redesigned to reflect this theme and now feature bright colors, locally inspired artwork, and modern amenities.

In addition to the redesign of guest rooms, the Scott Resort also underwent a transformation in terms of dining options. The resort’s signature restaurant, Taggia Restaurant was replaced by The Canal Club – a restaurant that serves Latin-inspired cuisine with a focus on seafood.

Today, the Scott Resort is a popular choice for tourists visiting Scottsdale. It offers guests an authentic Southwestern experience with its unique architecture, locally inspired artwork, modern amenities, and excellent dining options.

So if you’re planning a trip to Arizona anytime soon, be sure to check out the Scott Resort for an unforgettable stay!
