How I Spent My Last Vacation?

By Anna Duncan

During my last vacation, I had an amazing time exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. It was a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and I made sure to make the most of it.

Destination

I decided to visit Japan, a country that has always fascinated me with its unique blend of modernity and tradition. I spent most of my time in Tokyo, but I also took a few day trips to nearby cities like Kyoto and Osaka.

Accommodation

I stayed in a cozy little Airbnb apartment in the heart of Tokyo. It was located in a bustling neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment itself was small but comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for my stay.

Food

One of the highlights of my trip was definitely the food. I tried everything from sushi and ramen to yakitori and okonomiyaki. Every meal was a new adventure, and I loved exploring the different flavors and textures that Japanese cuisine had to offer.

  • Sushi: Raw fish served on top of rice.
  • Ramen: Noodles served in broth with various toppings.
  • Yakitori: Grilled chicken skewers.
  • Okonomiyaki: Savory pancake filled with vegetables, meat, or seafood.

Sightseeing

There were so many things to see and do in Japan that it was hard to fit everything into my schedule. Some of my favorite sights included:

Tsukiji Fish Market

This bustling market is one of the largest fish markets in the world. It’s famous for its early-morning tuna auctions, but there are also plenty of stalls selling fresh seafood and other delicacies.

Sensoji Temple

This ancient Buddhist temple is located in the heart of Tokyo’s Asakusa neighborhood. It’s a popular tourist destination, with its towering pagoda and colorful lanterns.

Fushimi Inari Shrine

Located in Kyoto, this shrine is famous for its thousands of torii gates that line the hiking trails on the mountain behind it. It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot that offers stunning views of the city below.

Conclusion

Overall, my trip to Japan was an unforgettable experience. From the food to the sights to the people I met along the way, everything was amazing. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of this fascinating country.
