How Old Is the Zuiderdam Cruise Ship?

The Zuiderdam cruise ship is one of Holland America Line’s most popular ships. Built in 2002 and christened in 2003, it is considered one of the oldest ships in the fleet.

The Zuiderdam was constructed by Fincantieri at its Marghera shipyard in Italy. The ship was built with a capacity of 2,100 passengers and 819 crew members and measures 285 meters long and 32 meters wide.

The Zuiderdam has 15 decks, with a variety of staterooms, restaurants, bars, lounges, and entertainment venues.

Accommodations

The Zuiderdam offers a range of accommodations for its guests. Inside staterooms are available with either two twin beds or one queen bed.

Balcony staterooms are also available with either two twin beds or one queen bed. Suite accommodations feature separate living areas with sofas and chairs, walk-in closets, whirlpool tubs and private balconies.

Facilities

The Zuiderdam has plenty to offer its passengers on board. There are multiple dining venues for guests to choose from such as the formal main dining room and the casual Lido Restaurant.

There are also several bars and lounges on board for guests to enjoy such as the Crow’s Nest Lounge, Explorations Café Library Bar, Ocean Bar and more. The ship also has a spa offering massages and beauty treatments as well as an onboard gymnasium.

Entertainment

The Zuiderdam offers a variety of entertainment options for guests onboard including live music in the bars and lounges, dance performances in the theater, onboard lectures by guest speakers, trivia nights in the Crow’s Nest Lounge and more.
