Prahlad Singh Patel was born on June 28th 1960 in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Awadhesh Pratap Singh University in Rewa. After completing his education he became involved in social service activities.

Political Career

Patel began his political career with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which is a student wing affiliated to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) where he held various positions including that of National Vice President for BJP Kisan Morcha.

In his political career spanning over three decades , he has been elected as Member of Parliament (MP) four times from Damoh Lok Sabha constituency in Madhya Pradesh.

Contribution as Minister of Culture and Tourism
