Located on the beautiful beach of Fort Myers, Florida, the Pink Shell Beach Resort is a popular vacation spot for many travelers. This luxurious resort boasts stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and offers guests an array of amenities and activities. But the question remains, when was Pink Shell Resort built?

The Pink Shell Beach Resort was originally built in 1950 by the Collier family. At that time, it was a small motel with only 10 rooms. However, as time passed, the resort underwent several renovations and additions to become what it is today – a sprawling resort with 211 rooms and suites.

In 2004, after Hurricane Charley hit Fort Myers Beach, the Pink Shell Resort underwent another major renovation to rebuild and modernize their facilities. The renovation brought in new state-of-the-art features such as a marina facility, three swimming pools, spa services, restaurants, and much more.

Over the years, the Pink Shell Resort has continued to evolve with new upgrades and amenities being added regularly. In 2018 for instance, they added an exclusive adult-only pool area known as “The Sandbar”. This pool area includes a private bar and luxury cabanas that offer amazing views of the Gulf.

Today, one can enjoy all kinds of water-related activities at this resort such as paddleboarding or kayaking in its calm waters or even renting jet skis or boats from their marina. And if you prefer something more relaxing or leisurely you can always take advantage of their spa services which include massages and facials.

In conclusion, although it started small in 1950 with just ten rooms as a motel by Collier family but due to various renovations over time it turned into modernized luxurious resort that we know today as Pink Shell Beach Resort. A perfect destination for vacationers who want to relax or experience thrill-packed water sports all under one roof!
