Where Is the Black Watch Cruise Ship Now?

The Black Watch Cruise Ship was a popular line of vessels that served many passengers in the North Atlantic. It was originally launched in 1971 and operated by Fred Olsen Line.

The Black Watch cruised to ports around the world, including Europe, North America, South America, and Africa. The ship would offer passengers an array of activities and amenities such as shopping, casinos, multiple restaurants, nightclubs, and live entertainment.

The Black Watch Cruise Ship was built with five decks and could accommodate up to 1,200 passengers in its 272 cabins. It also had a crew of about 600 people who would take care of the daily operations for the ship.

The ship featured two swimming pools, two Jacuzzis hot tubs, two saunas, a fitness center and gymnasium with aerobic classes and activities for kids. The ship also had a library with books and magazines available for guests to read during their voyage.

In 1986 the Black Watch Cruise Ship underwent its first major renovation which included adding more cabins to increase its capacity to 1,400 passengers as well as updating its decor and amenities. In 1991 it underwent another renovation which saw the addition of more restaurants and bars as well as an expanded fitness center.

In 1999 the Black Watch Cruise Ship was sold to Royal Caribbean International who renamed it “Brilliance of the Seas”. The Brilliance of the Seas is still in operation today offering passengers seven-night cruises throughout Europe with stops at various destinations such as Greece, Spain and Italy.

The Black Watch Cruise Ship has gone through some major changes since it first set sail in 1971. After being sold to Royal Caribbean International in 1999 it has been renamed “Brilliance of the Seas” and is currently sailing around Europe offering seven-night cruises to various destinations.
