Did They Find the Man Who Jumped Off the Cruise Ship?

By Robert Palmer

On July 13th, 2019, a man reportedly jumped off the Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas cruise ship in the middle of the night. The ship had departed from Port Canaveral in Florida and was headed to Haiti, when the man reportedly jumped overboard.

The crew of the Freedom of the Seas immediately launched a search for the missing passenger. They used on board cameras to identify him and then deployed search-and-rescue teams to scour the area surrounding the vessel. Unfortunately, their attempts were unsuccessful and after nearly 24 hours of searching, they still had not found any trace of him.

The Freedom of the Seas was part of a larger fleet that included two other ships that joined in on the search effort. They searched for over 32 hours with no luck. The Coast Guard also joined in on the search and deployed helicopters and boats that searched from above and below for any signs of life at sea.

The incident has left many wondering what could have happened to cause this man to jump overboard in such an unexpected way? The only thing anyone can do is speculate as no one knows what was going through his mind at the time or why he would take such a drastic action. It is possible he may have been suffering from some form of depression or mental illness, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

At this point it appears that they may never find out what happened to this passenger as all attempts at finding him have been unsuccessful thus far. This is not an uncommon occurrence as many people who go overboard are never found again due to strong currents or other factors making it difficult for rescuers to locate them.

Despite their best efforts, it appears that they were unable to find the missing passenger who jumped off of the Freedom of The Seas cruise ship on July 13th, 2019. This is an extremely unfortunate situation and our thoughts go out to his family during this difficult time.Did They Find The Man Who Jumped Off The Cruise Ship?
