Does Disney Have a Resort in Africa?

By Alice Nichols

If you’re a Disney enthusiast and have always dreamt of visiting every Disney resort in the world, you might be wondering if there is a Disney resort in Africa. Unfortunately, as of now, there isn’t a Disney resort in Africa. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any opportunities to experience the magic of Disney in Africa.

Disney has expanded its reach globally and has several resorts all over the world, including Asia and Europe. But when it comes to Africa, there hasn’t been any announcement from Disney yet. It’s possible that they haven’t found the right location to build a resort or haven’t received enough interest from visitors.

But if you’re still looking for some Disney magic in Africa, here are some options:

1. Disneyland Paris – While not technically in Africa, Disneyland Paris is located just a few hours away by plane and offers a unique European twist on the classic Disney experience.

2. Adventures by Disney – This tour company offers guided trips all over the world with exclusive access to local experiences and cultural immersion opportunities.

3. Animal Kingdom Lodge – Located at Walt Disney World in Florida, this resort offers African-inspired decor and allows guests to observe exotic animals like giraffes and zebras roaming around the property.

4. The Lion King on Broadway – If you’re looking for a theatrical experience that’s both African-themed and Disney-related, The Lion King on Broadway is an excellent option.

5. Disney+ – If all else fails, you can always stream your favourite classic or new Disney movies or shows on the popular streaming platform from anywhere in the world.

While it may be disappointing that there isn’t currently a dedicated Disney resort in Africa, there are still plenty of ways to experience the magic of this beloved brand while exploring all that Africa has to offer. Who knows? Maybe one day we will see a new addition to the family of global resorts that we can add to our travel bucket list.
