If you grew up watching Nickelodeon, you may have heard of the Nickelodeon Resort, a theme park and hotel that was once a popular destination for kids and families. But the big question on everyone’s mind is – does the Nickelodeon Resort still exist?
The answer is yes and no. The original Nickelodeon Resort, which was located in Orlando, Florida, closed its doors in 2016 after being open for just five years. However, there are still a few Nickelodeon-themed attractions and resorts that can be found around the world.
One of these is the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, located in the Dominican Republic. This all-inclusive resort features characters from popular shows like Spongebob Squarepants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Guests can enjoy themed rooms, dining experiences with their favorite characters, as well as access to a water park and other fun activities.
Another option is the Nickelodeon Universe theme park located inside the Mall of America in Minnesota. This indoor amusement park features rides based on popular Nick shows like Dora the Explorer and Rugrats. There are also character meet-and-greets and live entertainment shows.
So while the original Nickelodeon Resort may no longer be around, fans of the network can still experience some Nick-themed fun at these other locations.
If you’re looking for a nostalgic trip down memory lane or just want to introduce your kids to some classic Nick characters, these options are worth considering. Who knows – you might even run into Spongebob himself!
