How Did I Spent My Summer Vacation?

By Robert Palmer

Summer vacation is a time to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate. It’s a time when you can take a break from the monotony of daily routine and indulge in activities that you enjoy. This summer, I decided to make the most of my vacation by exploring new places and trying out new things.

Exploring the hills

One of the best things I did this summer was to go on a trekking expedition in the hills. The lush green valleys, picturesque landscapes, and fresh mountain air were truly invigorating. I packed my backpack with essentials like water bottles, snacks, and sunscreen and set off on my adventure.

Camping under the stars

As part of my trekking expedition, I also camped overnight under the stars. The sky was clear and starry, and it was an experience like no other. I could hear crickets chirping in the distance as I drifted off to sleep amidst nature’s beauty.

Learning a new language

Apart from exploring nature, I also wanted to use my summer vacation productively. So, I enrolled myself in a language course to learn French. It was challenging at first but soon became exciting as I started picking up new words and phrases every day.

Trying out local cuisine

To complement my language learning experience, I also tried out some traditional French cuisine at local restaurants. From croissants to macarons and crepes to baguettes, every dish was simply delectable.

Volunteering for a cause

Apart from exploring and learning, I also wanted to give back to society in some way. So, I volunteered for a local NGO that works towards the betterment of underprivileged children. It was humbling to see their happy faces and know that even a small effort on my part could make a difference in their lives.

Teaching kids

As part of my volunteering experience, I also got the opportunity to teach kids basic reading and writing skills. It was an enriching experience as I saw their confidence grow with every passing day.

In conclusion, my summer vacation was a perfect balance of fun, learning, and giving back. It taught me valuable life lessons and gave me memories that I will cherish forever.
