Located just 53 miles west of Denver, it’s easily accessible and offers some of the best skiing in Colorado. Here’s how to get there:
By Car
If you have access to a car, driving to Loveland Ski Resort is the easiest and most convenient option. From Denver, take I-70 West towards the mountains.
After about 35 miles, take exit 216 for Loveland Pass/Silverthorne. Follow the signs for Loveland Ski Area and you’ll arrive at the resort in about 20 minutes.
Parking
Loveland Ski Resort has plenty of free parking available in their main lot. If that lot fills up, there is also additional parking at their Basin location with free shuttles running between the two areas.
By Shuttle
If you don’t have access to a car or would prefer not to drive on mountain roads, there are several shuttle services that offer transportation between Denver and Loveland Ski Resort.
- The Colorado Mountain Express: This shuttle service offers door-to-door transportation from Denver International Airport or any location in Summit County directly to Loveland Ski Resort. Prices vary depending on your pick-up location.
- The Bustang: The Bustang is a public bus service that runs from Denver Union Station to Frisco.
From there, you can take a free shuttle provided by Loveland Ski Resort directly to the mountain.
- The Front Range Ski Bus: This shuttle service offers round-trip transportation from several locations in central Denver directly to Loveland Ski Resort. Prices start at $45 per person.

Be sure to book your shuttle in advance as availability can be limited during peak ski season.
By Ski Train
If you’re looking for a unique experience, the Ski Train is a great option. This historic train travels from Denver’s Union Station directly to Winter Park Resort with a stop at the base of Loveland Ski Resort. From there, free shuttles are provided to take you up the mountain.
Tickets
Tickets start at $29 each way and can be purchased online or at Denver’s Union Station.
