How Do I Get to the Homestead Resort?

If you’re planning a trip to the Homestead Resort, located in Hot Springs, Virginia, you may be wondering how to get there. Fortunately, there are several transportation options available depending on your preferences and budget.

By Car

The most convenient way to reach the Homestead Resort is by car. If you’re driving from Washington D.C., take I-66 West to I-81 South.

Continue on I-81 South for approximately 130 miles until you reach exit 220 towards US-11/US-48. From there, follow the signs for the Homestead Resort.

Parking

Once you arrive at the resort, there are several parking options available. If you’re staying overnight at the resort, valet parking is included in your room rate. Alternatively, self-parking is available for $25 per night.

By Air

If you’re traveling from out of state or internationally, flying into a nearby airport may be your best option. The closest airports to the Homestead Resort are:

  • Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) – approximately 75 miles away
  • Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) – approximately 100 miles away
  • Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH) – approximately 90 miles away

From any of these airports, renting a car is recommended as public transportation options are limited.

By Train

For a unique and leisurely travel experience, consider taking Amtrak to the Homestead Resort. The closest Amtrak station is located in Clifton Forge, Virginia which is approximately 20 miles away from the resort.

Shuttle Service

Once you arrive at the Clifton Forge station, the Homestead Resort offers shuttle service for $45 per person each way. Reservations for the shuttle service must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
