How Do You Light a Coleman Backpacking Stove?

Whether you’re going on a camping trip or just trying to make dinner in a hurry, Coleman backpacking stoves are a great way to cook your food quickly and easily. But before you can start cooking, you need to know how to light one. Luckily, lighting a Coleman backpacking stove is easy and doesn’t require any special skills or materials.

Step 1: Gather your materials. You’ll need a Coleman backpacking stove, matches or a lighter, and fuel.

The fuel can be either propane or white gas.

Step 2: Make sure the stove is in a safe spot. It’s important to make sure that the area around the stove is clear of flammable materials such as dry leaves, paper, etc.

Step 3: Connect the fuel tank to the stove. If you’re using propane, simply screw the tank into the stove. If you’re using white gas, fill the fuel tank with white gas and then attach it to the stove.

Step 4: Open the valve on the fuel tank and turn on the valve control knob on the side of the stove until it clicks into place.

Step 5: Light your match or lighter and hold it near one of the jets located on top of the stove. As soon as you see flames coming out of one of them, turn off your match or lighter.

Step 6: Adjust the flame by turning up or down
