Prague is a beautiful city, known for its stunning architecture, rich history, and picturesque landscapes. One of the most notable features of this city is its hills. But just how many hills are there in Prague?

Well, the answer can vary depending on who you ask. Some sources claim that there are seven hills in Prague while others claim that there are nine or even ten. So, let’s take a closer look at each of these hills and see if we can come to a definitive answer.

The first hill on our list is Letná Hill. This hill offers some of the best views of the city and is home to several popular attractions including Letná Park and the Letná Beer Garden.

Next up is Petřín Hill, which is located in the heart of Prague. This hill is home to several landmarks such as Petřín Tower, a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Vítkov Hill is another notable hill in Prague that played an important role in Czech history. It was here that one of the most significant battles in Czech history took place known as the Battle of Vítkov Hill.

Hradčany Hill is where you’ll find Prague Castle, one of the most iconic landmarks in all of Europe. This castle has been home to Czech kings, emperors, and presidents throughout history.

Žižkov Hill is where you’ll find Vitkov National Memorial which was built to honor Czech soldiers who fought for their country’s freedom.

Vyšehrad Hill features a stunning fortress that dates back to the 10th century and overlooks the Vltava River.

And finally, we have Prokopské údolí or Prokop Valley which houses a beautiful nature reserve with hiking trails and plenty of greenery to explore.

So how many hills are there in Prague? Well, it seems that there are at least seven hills that are generally recognized as being part of the city’s landscape. However, some sources include additional hills such as Kotlářka Hill and Skalka Hill, bringing the total to nine or even ten.
