How Many Seasons Are in Madrid?

By Alice Nichols

If you’re a fan of football, then Madrid is definitely a place that you should visit. Known for having two of the best football clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, it’s no surprise that many people wonder how many seasons there are in Madrid.

Firstly, it’s important to understand what is meant by “season” in this context. The term season refers to the period of time during which football games are played. In Spain, the football season typically runs from August to May of the following year.

Now, let’s answer the question: How many seasons are in Madrid? Well, as mentioned earlier, there is only one football season per year. However, within that season there are different competitions and tournaments that take place.

The primary competition in Spain is La Liga – a league competition where teams play each other twice (once at home and once away) over a period of 38 games. At the end of the season, the team with the most points is crowned champions.

In addition to La Liga, there are also other competitions such as Copa del Rey (the Spanish Cup), UEFA Champions League (a European-wide competition), and UEFA Europa League (another European-wide competition).

So to summarize – there is only one football season per year in Madrid but within that season there are multiple competitions where Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid compete against other teams both domestically and internationally.

If you happen to be in Madrid during football season, then attending a game at either Santiago Bernabeu (Real Madrid’s stadium) or Wanda Metropolitano (Atletico Madrid’s stadium) is an absolute must-do activity!
