How Much Did Richard Branson’s Cruise Ship Cost?

Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group, is no stranger to luxury. So it should come as no surprise that his cruise ship, the ‘Virgin Voyages’, cost a pretty penny.

The ship cost an estimated $1.5 billion to build and was completed in 2019. It has three pools, 20 restaurants, a rock-climbing wall and even a tattoo parlor on board!

With 1,430 cabins, it can accommodate up to 3,000 passengers per voyage. It’s also powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) which is both cleaner and more efficient than traditional marine diesel fuel – so it’s good for the environment too!

The ship was designed by Italian company Fincantieri with help from Sir Richard Branson himself. The aim was to create something different to the traditional cruise experience – something more luxurious and less crowded.

To that end, the cabins are all spacious with large windows offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea or Caribbean Ocean (depending on where you sail). There’s also plenty of entertainment on board including live music performances, stand-up comedy shows and even a silent disco!

Not surprisingly given its size and luxury amenities, Virgin Voyages isn’t cheap – fares start at $1,000 per person for a four-day cruise. But with all that’s on offer – from spa treatments to fine dining – it’s definitely worth it for those who can afford it!

Overall then, Richard Branson’s cruise ship cost an estimated $1.5 billion to build – a hefty sum but one which certainly seems justified given its size and luxurious amenities!

Conclusion: In conclusion, Richard Branson’s cruise ship ‘Virgin Voyages’ cost an estimated $1.5 billion to build – a hefty sum but one which certainly seems justified given its size and luxurious amenities!
