Is Disney Coronado Springs a Deluxe Resort?

By Michael Ferguson

If you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, you might be wondering which of their many resorts to choose from. One of the options is Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

But is it a deluxe resort? Let’s take a closer look.

What is a Deluxe Resort?

Before we can answer the question of whether or not Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a deluxe resort, we need to define what exactly makes a resort “deluxe.” At Walt Disney World, there are three main categories of resorts: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.

Deluxe resorts are typically the most expensive and luxurious option. They offer top-notch amenities, spacious rooms and suites, and often have multiple restaurants and pools on site. They are also usually located in prime locations throughout the resort.

The Case for Coronado Springs as a Deluxe Resort

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has undergone significant renovations in recent years, which have elevated its status among Disney resorts. The resort features beautiful Spanish-inspired architecture and theming throughout.

The rooms at Coronado Springs are spacious and well-appointed with modern amenities like flat-screen TVs and mini-fridges. There are also several different room types available, including standard rooms, suites, and club-level rooms with access to an exclusive lounge.

In terms of dining options, Coronado Springs has several restaurants on site that offer diverse cuisine options. The resort also features multiple pools with waterslides and hot tubs for guests to enjoy.

The Case Against Coronado Springs as a Deluxe Resort

While there is certainly an argument to be made for classifying Coronado Springs as a deluxe resort, there are some factors that may make it fall short when compared to other deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World.

For example, while there are multiple dining options at Coronado Springs, they may not be quite as upscale or unique as those found at other deluxe resorts. Additionally, while the resort has multiple pools, they may not have quite as many amenities or be quite as spacious as the pools at other deluxe resorts.

So.. Is it a Deluxe Resort?

After weighing the pros and cons, it’s ultimately up to you to decide if Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a deluxe resort. While it may not have all of the bells and whistles of some of the other deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World, it certainly offers a luxurious experience with plenty of amenities.

Ultimately, whether or not Coronado Springs is considered a deluxe resort may come down to personal preference and what you’re looking for in a resort. But one thing is for sure – no matter which category it falls under, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a beautiful and enjoyable place to stay during your visit to Walt Disney World.
