Breaking News: Is Dubai Tower on Fire?

Reports are coming in that a fire has broken out at the Dubai Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world. According to eyewitnesses, smoke can be seen billowing out from the top floors of the building.

The Dubai Tower

The Dubai Tower, also known as Burj Khalifa, is a skyscraper located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently the tallest building in the world with a height of 828 meters (2,716 feet).

It was opened in 2010 and has since then become an iconic landmark of Dubai. The tower houses luxury apartments, corporate offices, hotels and observation decks among other facilities.

The Fire

The fire reportedly broke out on one of the upper floors of the tower. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and there is no official statement from authorities yet.

However, it has been reported that emergency services have been deployed to fight the blaze. Eyewitnesses report seeing helicopters hovering around the building and firefighters working to control the flames.

Previous Incidents

This is not the first time that a fire has broken out at a skyscraper in Dubai. In 2015, a fire broke out at The Address Downtown hotel which is located close to the Burj Khalifa. There were no fatalities reported but several people were injured.

In 2017, another fire broke out at a residential building called Torch Tower which is also located in Dubai. Again there were no fatalities but several people were injured.
