Is the MSC Meraviglia the Largest Cruise Ship?

By Robert Palmer

The MSC Meraviglia is one of the largest cruise ships in the world. Launched in 2017, the ship measures over 1,100 feet long and is capable of carrying up to 5,714 passengers and 2,444 crew members. The ship has 18 decks and features a wide range of amenities, including multiple restaurants, entertainment venues, and retail outlets.

The MSC Meraviglia is an impressive feat of engineering. Its sheer size allows it to accommodate a huge number of passengers while providing them with all the comforts they could want on board. The ship is also equipped with a wide range of modern amenities, such as high-speed internet access and interactive entertainment systems.

Despite its impressive size and features, however, the MSC Meraviglia is not actually the largest cruise ship in the world. That title goes to Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas, which measures an astonishing 1,188 feet long and can accommodate 6,680 passengers and 2,384 crew members. The Symphony of the Seas has 22 decks that are packed with amenities such as multiple theaters, bars and lounges, water slides, zip lines, an ice rink and more.

When it comes to size and features offered on board cruise ships then Symphony of Sea clearly takes the lead over MSC Meraviglia; however that does not mean that MSC Meraviglia lacks any quality or modern amenities compared to its bigger counterpart. In fact it offers patrons a wide range of facilities such as onboard spa services or a wide selection of restaurants featuring cuisines from around the world; making it one of the best cruise ships available today regardless its size when compared with other vessels in its class like Symphony Of The Sea.

Conclusion: Is the MSC Meraviglia the Largest Cruise Ship?

No – while it is an impressive feat of engineering with many modern amenities on board for passengers to enjoy; it does not take top spot for being largest cruise ship in existence today – that title goes to Royal Caribbean’s Symphony Of The Seas which measures 1 188 feet long and can accommodate 6 680 passengers.
