Is the Resort on Bloodline Real?

By Michael Ferguson

If you’re a fan of the Netflix series Bloodline, you might be wondering whether the breathtaking resort featured in the show is real. The answer is both yes and no.

The Rayburn House, which serves as the main setting for Bloodline, is a fictional location created for the show. However, many of the exterior shots of the luxurious resort were filmed at an actual hotel in Islamorada, Florida called The Moorings Village & Spa.

Located on a stunning 18-acre property right on the beach, The Moorings Village & Spa offers guests a chance to experience the same stunning scenery that captivated viewers of Bloodline. With its lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, it’s no wonder that this location was chosen to represent the fictional Rayburn House.

But while The Moorings Village & Spa may have provided some of the exterior shots for Bloodline, it’s important to note that it is not an exact replica of the Rayburn House. In fact, much of what you see on screen was created through visual effects and set design.

That being said, if you’re a fan of Bloodline and want to experience some of its gorgeous scenery in person, The Moorings Village & Spa is definitely worth checking out. With luxurious accommodations and plenty of activities to keep you entertained (including fishing trips and snorkeling excursions), it’s a great place to relax and unwind while taking in some truly stunning views.

So there you have it – while the Rayburn House may not be real, fans of Bloodline can still get a taste of its beauty by visiting The Moorings Village & Spa. And who knows – maybe you’ll even feel like you’re part of the show yourself!
