Is There a Resort Fee at Disney Hotels?

By Robert Palmer

If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you may be wondering whether there is a resort fee at Disney hotels. After all, resort fees are becoming more and more common at hotels across the country.

The good news is that as of now, Disney does not charge a resort fee at any of their hotels. This means that when you book a room at a Disney hotel, the price you see is the price you pay (plus applicable taxes and fees, of course).

So why don’t Disney hotels charge a resort fee like other hotels do? There are a few reasons for this. First and foremost, Disney wants to provide their guests with an all-inclusive experience – they don’t want to nickel and dime guests with additional fees once they arrive at the hotel.

Additionally, many of the amenities that other hotels charge resort fees for are already included in your stay at a Disney hotel. For example, all guests staying at a Disney hotel have access to complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort, early access to FastPass+ reservations, and complimentary MagicBands (which serve as your room key, park ticket, and more).

Of course, just because there isn’t a resort fee doesn’t mean that staying at a Disney hotel is cheap – far from it! Prices for rooms can vary widely depending on the time of year and the type of room you book. However, knowing that there won’t be any additional fees tacked onto your bill can provide some peace of mind when planning your trip.

One thing to keep in mind is that while there isn’t a resort fee per se, some of the amenities offered by Disney hotels do come with an additional cost. For example, if you want to park your car overnight at your hotel (which most guests will need to do), there is an overnight parking fee that ranges from $15-$25 per night depending on the level of hotel you’re staying at.

Additionally, some hotels offer additional services like in-room dining or spa treatments that come with an extra cost. Be sure to read the fine print when booking your hotel to understand exactly what is included and what isn’t.

In conclusion, while many hotels across the country are charging resort fees these days, Disney hotels have yet to jump on the bandwagon. This means that when you book a room at a Disney hotel, you can rest assured that the price you see is (mostly) the price you’ll pay. Happy planning!
