  • Tourists should avoid overcrowding at tourist spots and maintain social distancing.
  • Tourists have to follow hotel norms like thermal screening at entry points, sanitization of luggage, etc.

Restrictions Imposed by Government

  • Inter-state movement is allowed only with a valid e-pass which can be obtained from the HP Government’s official website.
  • Only asymptomatic individuals with no travel history to containment zones are allowed entry into Himachal Pradesh.
  • The government has put a cap on the number of tourists visiting popular tourist destinations like Shimla, Manali, and Dharamshala.
  • Tourists are not allowed to visit any containment zone or red zone area in the state.
  • Adventure activities like river rafting, trekking, and mountaineering are allowed only with prior permission from the tourism department.
