What Carnival Cruise Ship Has a Roller Coaster?

By Alice Nichols

Carnival Cruise Line has been pushing the boundaries of luxury vacationing for decades. One of their newest offerings is the roller coaster experience aboard their cruise ships.

While it may seem like an unlikely place to find a roller coaster, Carnival has made it a reality.

The first roller coaster on a Carnival Cruise ship is the Mardi Gras, which debuted in 2020. The Mardi Gras is located on the top deck of the ship and features a track that is almost 1,800 feet long and contains five drops, two 360-degree loops, and several other thrilling elements. Passengers can ride the coaster in three minutes or less and enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean as they soar through the air.

The second Carnival cruise ship with a roller coaster is the Carnival Breeze, which also debuted in 2020. The Breeze features an even more thrilling ride than its predecessor – with an even longer track that spans 2,100 feet! It boasts seven drops, five 360-degree loops, and more than enough thrills to satisfy everyone onboard.

Carnival also plans to add roller coasters to two more of their ships – the Vista and Horizon – in 2021. These rides will be even longer than those found on the Mardi Gras and Breeze, with tracks spanning over 3,000 feet each!
