What Happened to Carnival Victory Cruise Ship?

By Anna Duncan

Carnival Victory cruise ship, a part of the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, is a vessel that has been around for over 20 years. The ship, which was first introduced in 1999, was initially operated by Costa Cruises before Carnival Corporation took it over in 2002. Carnival Victory has been on numerous voyages since then, taking passengers to places like the Caribbean, Alaska and Europe.

The ship features 14 decks filled with activities and amenities such as two swimming pools, a spa and fitness center, casino and library. There are also various restaurants and bars on board as well as several lounges. The ship also has a wide variety of accommodations ranging from interior staterooms to suites with balconies.

In 2017, Carnival Victory underwent a massive renovation that included the addition of new cabins and public spaces. The new design featured larger staterooms and an upgraded water park area that included slides and other attractions for kids.

However, in 2020 the ship was removed from the fleet due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. With travel restrictions still in place around the world, Carnival Victory was unable to make any voyages for the foreseeable future. As a result, the cruise line had to make difficult decisions about its ships and unfortunately decided to remove Carnival Victory from its fleet.

Conclusion:

Carnival Victory cruise ship had been part of the Carnival Cruise Line fleet for more than two decades before it was removed due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The massive renovation it underwent in 2017 meant that guests were able to enjoy larger staterooms as well as an upgraded water park area with slides and other attractions for kids. Unfortunately though travel restrictions meant that it could not make any voyages during this time so it had to be removed from the fleet.
