What Happened to Road Trip the Band?

By Michael Ferguson

Road Trip the Band was a British boy band that was formed in 2015 on the popular British reality show, “X Factor UK”. The band consisted of five members: Rye Beaumont, Andy Fowler, Brooklyn Gibson, Mikey Cobban, and Jack Duff. They quickly gained popularity among fans for their energetic performances and catchy original songs.

Early Success

After their successful stint on “X Factor UK”, Road Trip the Band signed with Blair Dreelan’s Alphadog Management. They released their debut single “No No No” in 2017, which received positive feedback from fans and critics alike. The band’s live performances also gained them a loyal following.

Turbulent Times

In early 2018, Road Trip the Band announced that they had parted ways with Alphadog Management due to creative differences. However, the group continued to create new music and tour extensively throughout the UK. In October 2018, Road Trip released their EP “Tokyo Hotel” which was well-received by fans.

However, in early 2019, Road Trip faced another setback when member Mikey Cobban announced his departure from the band. This news came as a shock to fans who had grown to love his energetic stage presence and unique vocal style.

The End of an Era

Despite losing a member, Road Trip continued to perform and record new music. They released their single “Take This Home” in August 2019 which was followed by several successful tours across the UK.

However, in March 2020, Road Trip the Band announced via social media that they had decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. This news left fans heartbroken as they had grown attached to the band’s infectious energy and catchy pop tunes.

In conclusion, while Road Trip the Band may have gone on an indefinite hiatus for now, their legacy lives on through their loyal fanbase and the music they created during their time together. Fans can only hope that one day the band will reunite and continue to create the infectious pop tunes that made them so beloved.
