On March 13, 2020, the Norwegian Sea Cruise ship, operated by the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), had to cancel its scheduled departure from Miami due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The ship was set to embark on a two week journey to the Caribbean Islands and other exciting ports of call. Unfortunately, due to the global health crisis, NCL had no choice but to put safety first and cancel all of their cruises until further notice.

The Norwegian Sea Cruise Ship was originally scheduled for a two-week voyage departing from Miami on March 13th and returning on March 27th. The cruise was planned to visit several Caribbean destinations including St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados. Passengers were looking forward to an exciting trip with plenty of activities and sightseeing opportunities.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with CDC guidelines NCL had no choice but to cancel all cruises until further notice. This is because cruise ships create a perfect environment for rapid spread of disease due to close quarters and high levels of human contact.

Passengers who were booked on the Norwegian Sea Cruise have been offered either a full refund or a future cruise credit valid for up to two years from the date of issue. In addition, NCL is offering passengers an additional 10% bonus Future Cruise Credit if they choose this option.

Conclusion:

The Norwegian Sea Cruise Ship had to be cancelled due to the global pandemic of Covid-19. Passengers who were booked on this cruise have been offered either a full refund or a future cruise credit valid for up to two years from the date of issue as compensation for their inconvenience.
