Wolf Laurel Ski Resort, located in Madison County, North Carolina was a popular skiing destination for many years. However, the resort has been closed for several years now and many people are wondering what happened to it.

The story of Wolf Laurel Ski Resort began in the early 1960s when a group of investors decided to build a ski resort in the mountains of western North Carolina. The resort opened in 1965 and quickly became a popular destination for skiing enthusiasts from all over the region.

For decades, Wolf Laurel Ski Resort continued to attract visitors with its beautiful mountain views and excellent skiing conditions. However, as time passed, the resort began to struggle financially.

In 2008, the recession hit hard and Wolf Laurel Ski Resort was forced to file for bankruptcy. Despite efforts to keep the resort open, it ultimately closed its doors in 2010.

Since then, there have been several attempts to revive Wolf Laurel Ski Resort. In 2013, a group of investors purchased the property with plans to reopen it as a year-round destination with skiing in the winter and outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
