What Is Inside Cabin on a Cruise Ship?

By Michael Ferguson

Cruise ships have become increasingly popular in recent years, with more and more people choosing to take a vacation on the high seas. With so many amenities and activities available on board, it’s no wonder why.

But what is inside the cabins on a cruise ship? Let’s take a look.

Accommodations – Depending on the size and type of cruise ship, cabin accommodations can range from basic interior cabins to luxurious suites with private balconies. All cabins have beds, a desk or table, closets or drawers for storage, air-conditioning and televisions. Some may also include a refrigerator or mini bar and other amenities such as bathrobes or slippers.

Bathroom – All cabins come with their own private bathroom that includes a toilet, shower/bathtub combination, sink and mirror. Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and soap are usually provided by the cruise line.

Room Service – Room service is available 24 hours per day on most ships. Guests can order breakfast, lunch or dinner from either the main dining room menu or from room service menus located in each cabin. Room service typically incurs an additional charge.

Safety Features – Most cruise ships feature smoke detectors in each cabin as well as life jackets for every passenger should an emergency arise at sea.

Conclusion:

Cruises offer all kinds of exciting amenities for guests to enjoy while onboard but what lies behind the doors of the cabins? Inside each cabin are comfortable beds with TVs and closets for storage, private bathrooms with showers/bathtubs and toiletries provided by the cruise line along with safety features like smoke detectors and life jackets should an emergency arise at sea. In addition to these basic amenities, some cabins may offer additional features like mini bars or private balconies depending on the type of ship you’re on.
