The largest cruise ship in the world is Royal Caribbean International’s Harmony of the Seas. It measures 362 meters (1,188 feet) in length and 66 meters (217 feet) in width, and has a gross tonnage of 226,963 GT. It was built by STX France at their shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France and was delivered in May 2016.

Harmony of the Seas has a total of 18 decks and can accommodate up to 6,680 guests. There are 2,747 staterooms which are spread across 8 categories. The ship also features 22 restaurants, 23 swimming pools and whirlpools, 20 bars and clubs, an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity for 1,400 people, a theater with 1,350 seating capacity as well as a casino.


Harmony of the Seas offers a variety of facilities for guests to enjoy. These include: sports court for basketball and volleyball; rock climbing wall; two FlowRider surf simulators; zip line; mini-golf course; spa with thermal suite; aqua park with two water slides; children’s water park; several swimming pools; and multiple dining options including specialty restaurants such as Jamie’s Italian by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.


Harmony of the Seas operates seven-day Western Caribbean cruises departing from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida. Ports of call include Cozumel (Mexico), Falmouth (Jamaica), Georgetown (Grand Cayman) and Labadee (Haiti). The cruise also includes two days at sea to relax or explore the many onboard amenities.
