It has a maximum capacity of 6,680 passengers and 2,200 crew members and features an array of luxurious amenities including multiple swimming pools, 18 restaurants, 20 bars and lounges, five multi-story waterslides and a theatre.

The ship is also equipped with numerous technological innovations such as virtual balconies that offer real-time views from the outside decks; robotic bartenders; fast Wi-Fi; facial recognition technology to facilitate check-in; 3D movie theaters; high-tech fitness centers; virtual reality labs; and interactive video walls.

The Symphony of the Seas also boasts some impressive environmental initiatives such as its advanced waste water treatment systems which recycle 95 percent of all waste water produced on board for use in toilets and showers. Additionally, its diesel electric engines are highly efficient, consuming less fuel per passenger than any other cruise liner.
