What Was the Biggest Win on Antiques Road Trip?

By Robert Palmer

Antiques Road Trip is a popular TV program that features two expert antique dealers competing against each other to find and sell the most valuable antiques. The show has been running for over ten years, and during that time, many big wins have been recorded. However, one particular episode stands out as having the biggest win of all time.

In the episode, two antiques experts – Charles Hanson and James Braxton – set off on a road trip around Scotland in search of valuable antiques to buy and sell at auction. Both Charles and James are well-known in the antiques world, with years of experience under their belts. They are also very competitive and determined to come out on top.

Early on in the episode, Charles manages to find an antique desk in an antique shop that catches his eye. The desk is a beautiful piece of furniture with intricate carvings and a rich history. Charles immediately knows that this is something he wants to purchase and decides to take a gamble by buying it for £1,000.

James, on the other hand, spends his time scouring various markets and auctions for valuable items. He manages to pick up some excellent pieces at good prices but is yet to make a significant purchase.

With only one day left before they have to head back home, both Charles and James head off to an auction house in Edinburgh. This is where things get interesting.

Charles puts his antique desk up for sale at the auction house, hoping to recoup his investment and make a small profit. However, he gets more than he bargained for when the bidding starts going crazy! The desk ends up selling for an incredible £41,000 – making it one of the biggest wins ever recorded on Antiques Road Trip!

James can hardly believe what he’s seeing as Charles walks away from the auction house with a huge smile on his face. He knows that he has no chance of winning now unless he can find something equally as valuable in the next few hours.

Despite his best efforts, James is unable to find anything that can match Charles’s desk. He ends up selling all his antiques for a profit but nowhere near as large as Charles’s big win.

In conclusion, the biggest win on Antiques Road Trip was undoubtedly Charles Hanson’s incredible sale of an antique desk for £41,000. This episode proves that sometimes taking a risk and trusting your instincts can pay off in a big way. While James may have lost this time, there’s always the possibility of redemption on the next road trip!
