What’s the Difference Between a Deluxe Stateroom and a Standard Stateroom on a Disney Cruise Ship?

By Anna Duncan

When you take a Disney Cruise, you will find that there are two types of staterooms: standard and deluxe. Although they may look similar, they are actually quite different in terms of what they offer you. In this article, we will explore the differences between a deluxe stateroom and a standard stateroom on a Disney cruise ship.

Size: The first major difference between the two is size. Deluxe staterooms are typically larger than standard staterooms and can accommodate more people comfortably. Deluxe staterooms often have separate bedrooms, living rooms, and bathrooms, while standard rooms usually just have one large room with beds and a bathroom.

Amenities: Deluxe staterooms also come with more amenities than standard ones do. These may include larger TVs, more storage space, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, DVD players, stereos, and even balconies or verandas in some cases. Standard rooms typically just have one TV and limited storage space.

Price: Of course, all of these additional amenities come at an added cost. Deluxe rooms tend to be significantly more expensive than standard rooms on Disney cruises – sometimes as much as double the price!

Location: One other difference between deluxe and standard staterooms is their location on the ship. Deluxe rooms are typically located closer to the front of the ship or higher up on the decks which gives them better views and easier access to certain areas like restaurants or pools. Standard rooms tend to be farther back in the ship or lower down on the decks so they don’t always have as good of views or easy access to certain areas.

Conclusion:

As you can see there are many differences between deluxe and standard staterooms on Disney cruise ships – from size to amenities to price to location – all of which should be taken into consideration when deciding which type of room is right for you.
