In the classic holiday movie, “Christmas Vacation,” Clark Griswold takes his family on a wild ride as they prepare for Christmas. One of the most memorable scenes in the movie is when Clark goes on a shopping spree to buy gifts for his family and friends. But where exactly did he go shopping?
According to the movie, Clark’s first stop was at a department store called “Gladys’ House of Beauty.” As soon as he enters the store, he’s greeted by a saleswoman who asks if she can help him find anything.
Clark responds by saying that he’s looking for a gift for his wife. The saleswoman suggests some perfume, but Clark has other ideas. He spots a lingerie counter and decides to buy his wife something more intimate.
After leaving Gladys’ House of Beauty, Clark heads over to another department store called “Bath and Beyond.” Here, he picks up an array of gifts including a VCR, a set of towels, and an enormous bag of dog food.
But Clark isn’t done yet. He also makes a stop at “Mervyn’s” where he purchases an ugly sweater for his boss and an oversized pair of gloves for his father-in-law.
Finally, after a long day of shopping, Clark ends up at “Wally World” where he tries to buy the perfect gift for his kids. However, things don’t go according to plan as the store is closed for maintenance.
Overall, it’s clear that Clark went on quite the adventure while shopping for Christmas presents. From lingerie to dog food and everything in between, he certainly didn’t hold back when it came to finding gifts for his loved ones.
