Where Is Millennium Cruise Ship Now?

By Alice Nichols

The Millennium Cruise Ship is one of the most recognizable vessels in the world. It is a massive 5,400-passenger ocean liner that has been sailing the seas since it was launched in 1999. The ship has been featured in numerous movies, television shows, and advertisements, and it has become a symbol of luxury and adventure for travelers around the world.

The Millennium Cruise Ship is owned by Royal Caribbean International, one of the world’s largest cruise lines. It is powered by four diesel engines that can propel it to speeds up to 22 knots (25 mph). The ship is 894 feet long and gets its name from the year it was launched – 1999 – which marked the beginning of the new millennium.

The Millennium Cruise Ship offers a variety of amenities for its passengers including multiple restaurants, bars and lounges, a spa and salon, live entertainment, shopping outlets, pools & jacuzzis, a fitness center, movie theater, arcades and more.

In addition to the amenities offered onboard the ship itself, passengers can also book excursions at their port-of-call destinations such as swimming with dolphins or sightseeing tours. Passengers can also take advantage of special activities that are available onboard such as cooking classes or wine tastings.

The Millennium Cruise Ship has sailed around the world on numerous voyages since it was first launched in 1999. Some of its most popular routes include trips to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico as well as Caribbean cruises.

Despite its popularity with travelers over the years, Royal Caribbean announced in 2018 that they were retiring their entire fleet of ships including Millennium Cruise Ship due to rising operational costs. Since then it has been sold off and is currently being used as an accommodation vessel for offshore oil rigs in Trinidad & Tobago.
