By Anna Duncan

Celebrity Edge is a revolutionary cruise ship that has changed the way we think about cruising. The Celebrity Edge is the first cruise ship in the world to feature a revolutionary new design that allows for more space, more luxury, and more comfort than ever before.

The Celebrity Edge was launched in 2018 and is currently operated by Celebrity Cruises. The ship, which weighs a staggering 130,000 gross registered tons and can accommodate up to 2,918 passengers and 1,500 crew members, offers an array of amenities and activities on board. Passengers can enjoy multiple swimming pools, lounges, restaurants and bars as well as onboard entertainment such as live music performances and stand-up comedy shows.

The Celebrity Edge was designed with sustainability in mind. It features multiple technologies aimed at reducing CO2 emissions such as an advanced air lubrication system that reduces friction while increasing fuel efficiency by up to 20 percent. Additionally, all of the ship’s lights are LED bulbs which not only reduce energy consumption but also provide a longer lifespan than traditional lighting solutions.

The Celebrity Edge also boasts some of the most luxurious accommodations available on any cruise line today. From its modern suites and staterooms to its spacious outdoor spaces such as the Veranda Cabins with private balconies overlooking the ocean; passengers can enjoy a truly unique experience onboard this magnificent vessel.

The Celebrity Edge has been sailing around the world since its launch in 2018 covering many destinations including Europe, Australia and New Zealand. As of 2021, it is currently docked at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale Florida where it will remain until April 2021 when it will set sail for Jamaica followed by Cozumel Mexico before returning home on April 22nd 2021.
