If you’re a fan of reality television, then you’re probably familiar with the cast of Jersey Shore. The show, which first aired in 2009, followed the lives of eight housemates as they spent their summers at the Jersey Shore.
After a six-year hiatus, the cast reunited for a spin-off series called “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” But where exactly is this new vacation spot?
The New Location
Unlike the original series, which was filmed in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” takes place in Miami Beach, Florida. The housemates stayed at an upscale resort called the South Beach Miami House.
The Cast
All of the original cast members returned for “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” This includes:
- Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino
- Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
- Jenni “JWoww” Farley
- Pauly D
- Vinny Guadagnino
- Ronnie Ortiz-Magro
- Deena Nicole Cortese
- Angelina Pivarnick (who left the original series early on)
The Premise
“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” follows the same format as the original series – the cast spends their summer living together in a house and going out to clubs and bars at night. However, there are some differences.
For one, many of the cast members are now married or in serious relationships. This means that there is less drama between them than there was during the original series.
The Episodes
There are currently four seasons of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” with a fifth season set to air later this year. Here’s a breakdown of each season:
Season 1
The first season of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” aired in 2018. It consisted of 14 episodes and focused on the cast’s reunion in Miami Beach. Highlights include Snooki announcing her pregnancy, Ronnie’s tumultuous relationship with his girlfriend Jen, and The Situation’s ongoing legal troubles.
Season 2
The second season aired in 2018 and also consisted of 14 episodes. This time, the cast went to Las Vegas, Nevada. Highlights include Pauly D getting a girlfriend, Deena announcing her pregnancy, and a physical altercation between Ronnie and Jen.
Season 3
Season three aired in 2019 and took place in Seaside Heights, New Jersey – the same location as the original series. The season consisted of 28 episodes (split into two parts) and centered around Mike’s wedding to his longtime girlfriend Lauren. Other highlights include Snooki’s retirement from the show and tensions between Angelina and the rest of the cast.
Season 4
The most recent season aired in 2020 and took place in a resort in Las Vegas due to COVID-19 restrictions. The season consisted of only 12 episodes and focused on the cast’s quarantine experience together.
In Conclusion
While “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” may not take place at the original Jersey Shore location, it still provides plenty of drama and laughs for fans of the show. With five seasons under its belt (and more on the way), it doesn’t look like this spin-off will be going away anytime soon.
