Where Is the Virgin Cruise Ship Now?

The Virgin Voyages cruise ship, Scarlet Lady, is the first of four ships that the luxury cruise line has planned to build. The vessel was initially set to launch in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the maiden voyage was delayed until 2021. In the meantime, Virgin Voyages has taken Scarlet Lady on a series of voyages to test her capabilities and make sure she’s ready for her first official voyage.

Scarlet Lady began her journey in Genoa, Italy where she underwent sea trials prior to being handed over to Virgin Voyages on December 7th, 2020. She then embarked on a series of shakedown cruises which included visits to Barcelona, Spain; Cannes and Sete, France; and Palma de Mallorca before arriving at her homeport of Miami in February 2021.

Once in Miami, Scarlet Lady underwent a rigorous inspection and safety testing process before she was cleared for a full-scale inaugural voyage.

In April 2021, the beautiful ship set sail with 1,150 passengers and 700 crew members on board for a seven-day voyage that took her from Miami to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic; Philipsburg in St Maarten; San Juan in Puerto Rico; and back to Miami.

Since then , Scarlet Lady has been sailing various four- to seven-day itineraries throughout the Caribbean including destinations such as Jamaica, Haiti, Aruba and the Bahamas. The ship is currently visiting Nassau in the Bahamas and is scheduled to return back to Miami on June 8th where she will be embarking on another Caribbean cruise.

The Virgin Voyages cruise ship Scarlet Lady is now visiting Nassau in the Bahamas as part of its four-to-seven day Caribbean itinerary. The ship is scheduled to return back to its homeport of Miami on June 8th 2021 where it will embark on another Caribbean cruise.
