Who Is the Current Ministry of Tourism?

The Ministry of Tourism is a crucial department in any country’s government, responsible for promoting tourism and travel within the country. It is essential to have a minister that can efficiently manage and develop the tourism sector, which can contribute significantly to the national economy.

At present, the current Ministry of Tourism in India is headed by Prahlad Singh Patel. Born on June 28th, 1960, Patel is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism in May 2019.

Before joining politics, Patel was an agriculturist and was involved in farming activities. He started his political career as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of BJP. Later on, he became a member of BJP and held various positions in the party.

As a Minister of State for Tourism, Patel has been actively working towards developing and promoting tourism in India. He has been instrumental in launching several initiatives to boost tourism in India.
