Who is Prahlad Singh Patel?

Prahlad Singh Patel was born on June 28, 1960, in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Government College, Sohagpur. He has been associated with politics since his early days and was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time in 1996 from Damoh Lok Sabha constituency.

Career

Prahlad Singh Patel has held several positions in his political career. He has served as a member of various parliamentary committees such as the Committee on Estimates, Committee on Home Affairs, Committee on Transport and Tourism, and many more.

In May 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture and Tourism by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Later that year, he also took charge as the Minister of State for Jal Shakti.
