The Paul Gauguin is a luxury cruise ship owned by the Paul Gauguin Cruises, a subsidiary of the Pacific Beachcomber S.C. The vessel was built in 1991 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique Shipyards in Saint Nazaire, France and has been sailing the South Pacific since 1998.

The Paul Gauguin is designed to provide an intimate cruising experience with its maximum capacity of 332 passengers. The ship features amenities such as four restaurants, five bars, two outdoor swimming pools, a spa, and numerous onboard activities. It also offers several shore excursions to various ports of call throughout its itineraries in French Polynesia, Fiji, and other South Pacific Islands.

The vessel is named after French Post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin who spent most of his life painting in Tahiti and other parts of French Polynesia. As such, it is decorated with artwork inspired by many of his paintings throughout the public areas and staterooms of the ship.
