Before being owned by Mirvish Enterprises Ltd., the property was owned by Blankenship/Oak Island Tours Inc., which was run by Dan Blankenship, who had invested decades searching for treasure on the island. He passed away at age 95 in 2019.

The Future of Oak Island Resort

The new ownership group plans to invest heavily in upgrades and renovations to modernize and improve the resort facilities while preserving its historic character. They also plan to continue offering guided tours of Oak Island where visitors can learn about its fascinating history and take in the stunning natural surroundings.
