Is the Disney Cruise Ship Bigger Than the Titanic?

When comparing the Disney Cruise Ship to the Titanic, it’s easy to see why they have been compared so often. Both ships are iconic vessels, with each having its own place in history. But when it comes to size, which one is bigger?

The Titanic was 882 feet long and 92 feet wide. It weighed 46,328 tons and had a capacity of 3,547 passengers.

The Disney Cruise Ship is slightly smaller than the Titanic at 877 feet long and 105 feet wide. It weighs 85,000 tons and has a capacity of 4,000 passengers.

Although the Disney Cruise Ship is shorter than the Titanic by 5 feet in length, it is 13 feet wider than the Titanic which means that there is more room for passengers and amenities on board. The additional 13 feet in width also accounts for its much greater weight of 85,000 tons.

In terms of amenities, both ships offer plenty of activities for passengers to enjoy. Onboard the Disney Cruise Ship passengers can take part in various water sports such as surfing and kayaking or explore one of the many onboard theaters or restaurants. Onboard the Titanic passengers could participate in ballroom dances or attend high-society dinners.

Conclusion: When comparing their sizes and amenities, it’s clear that despite being 5 feet shorter than the Titanic, the Disney Cruise Ship is overall bigger due to its greater width and weight as well as its larger capacity of 4,000 passengers.
