By Anna Duncan

A 33-year-old British man, who is believed to have jumped off a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, is still missing and has not been found. The man, identified as Nick Naydev from Washington state, reportedly jumped off the 11th deck of the Symphony of the Seas while it was docked in Nassau, Bahamas on July 7th.

Reports said that Naydev and his friends were drinking heavily during the cruise and that he had made a bet with them that he could jump off the ship without any consequences. The video of him jumping off the ship went viral on social media shortly after and quickly caught the attention of Royal Caribbean.

A spokesperson for the cruise line said they were “appalled” by the irresponsible behavior of Naydev and his friends. They said they are working closely with local authorities to find him.

The US Coast Guard launched an extensive search for Naydev, which included air and sea searches covering over 3,000 square nautical miles near Nassau but did not turn up any results. A spokesperson for the Coast Guard said that their search was “exhaustive” but unfortunately they had not been able to locate Naydev or any sign of him so far.

The Investigation Continues

Naydev’s family has set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising money to fund a private investigation into his disappearance. The page has raised over $20,000 so far and is gaining support from people all around the world who are hoping for his safe return.

Conclusion

At this point in time it appears that authorities have been unable to find Nick Naydev, who jumped off a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Nassau on July 7th.
