Disney is no stranger to the cruise industry, and with their huge success in the past, there has been much speculation as to whether they will be making another cruise ship. After all, they already have a fleet of four ships that sail to destinations all around the world, from Alaska to the Caribbean.
According to Disney Cruise Line spokesperson, Rebecca Peddie, there are currently no plans for a fifth Disney cruise ship. However, she did mention that this could change in the future if demand for more cruises continues to increase.
In addition to their existing four ships (the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wonder, and Disney Magic), Disney also owns two private islands – Castaway Cay in the Bahamas and Serenity Bay in St. Thomas. These islands provide guests with exclusive activities and amenities not found on other cruise lines.
Disney’s current fleet is already extremely popular and they continue to add new attractions and experiences each year. In 2017, the company introduced its first-ever virtual reality experience on board the Disney Dream ship and most recently opened up Mickey’s AquaLab on board the Disney Magic vessel.
Overall
Although there are currently no plans for a fifth Disney Cruise ship, it is possible that one may be built if demand continues to increase. For now though, guests can enjoy all of the wonderful attractions offered on board their current fleet as well as exclusive experiences found at both Castaway Cay and Serenity Bay.
Conclusion:
At this time it appears that Disney is not making another cruise ship however this could change in the future depending on customer demand. For now guests can enjoy all of the exciting activities that are available aboard their existing fleet as well as exclusive experiences found at both private islands.
