Is YTB Travel Still in Business?

By Anna Duncan

YTB Travel, also known as Your Travel Biz, was once a popular travel network marketing company. The company sold travel packages to its members and helped them to earn commission from their sales.

However, since its founding in 2004, YTB Travel has faced multiple legal challenges and allegations of being a pyramid scheme.

In 2009, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office sued YTB Travel for operating an illegal pyramid scheme. The lawsuit alleged that the company was taking advantage of its members by charging them high upfront fees and then offering little or no actual services or products in return.

The Attorney General also noted that the vast majority of YTB Travel’s members did not make any money from their investments.

In 2012, YTB Travel settled the case with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and agreed to pay $2 million in restitution to its members. The company also agreed to restructure its business model and stop charging any type of membership fees or other upfront costs to join the program.

Since then, YTB Travel has continued to operate under a new name, YourTravelBiz (YTBLife). The company now offers online marketing tools and resources to help its members promote their businesses and make money through online sales. However, many people are still skeptical about whether or not YTBLife is actually a legitimate business opportunity.

Conclusion:

Is YTB Travel still in business? Yes, although it has gone through major restructuring since 2009 due to legal issues related to being classified as a pyramid scheme. YTBLife now offers online marketing tools and resources that are designed to help its members promote their businesses and generate income from online sales.
