By Alice Nichols

The Suite Life on Deck was a popular Disney Channel show that aired from 2008 to 2011. It starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse as Zack and Cody Martin, twin brothers who live aboard a cruise ship called the S.S. Tipton. The show follows their adventures as they go on different trips around the world, accompanied by their friends Bailey (Debby Ryan) and London (Brenda Song).

The cruise ship used in the show was actually a real ship called the Pacific Star, which is now known as the Pacific Dawn. It was built in 1991 and refurbished in 2008 to be used for filming.

The ship measures over 800 feet long and has three decks, each with its own unique layout. The main deck contains cabins and suites, while the upper deck has restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues such as a pool and spa. The largest suite is located on the top deck and features a private balcony.

The Pacific Dawn has sailed around the world since its launch in 1991, including ports in Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, South America, Europe, Asia and more. It currently sails from Brisbane to various ports in Australia as part of P&O Cruises’ Australian itineraries. Some of these destinations are part of the same itineraries featured on The Suite Life on Deck when Zack and Cody traveled around the world with their friends.
