Where Is Cruise Ship Bolette Now?

By Anna Duncan

The Cruise Ship Bolette is a large cruise ship that first set sail in 2002. It was built by the German-based Meyer Werft shipyard and has been owned and operated by Norwegian Cruise Line since its launch. The vessel has a capacity of 2,394 passengers, making it one of the largest cruise ships in the world.

The Bolette has embarked on numerous cruises throughout its lifetime, taking passengers to destinations around the world such as the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Australia and Alaska. Onboard amenities include several restaurants, bars and lounges, a casino, spa and fitness center, two swimming pools and a theater. The ship also features several luxury cabins with balconies as well as more affordable staterooms without balconies.

In November 2020, the Bolette began its final voyage before being retired from service. The ship had been in service for almost 18 years and was due for an extensive refurbishment to bring it up to modern standards. As part of this process, Norwegian Cruise Line decided to permanently retire the vessel from service and replace it with a newer model.

Since then, the Bolette has been sold to an undisclosed buyer who plans to use it as part of their own cruise line business venture. As such, the exact whereabouts of the vessel are currently unknown; however, it is believed that she may have been transported to South America for her new owners.
