The Cruise Ship Arcadia is one of the most famous vessels in the cruise industry. It was launched in 1971, and since then has been a popular choice for holidaymakers from around the world. The vessel has a distinguished history, having been part of some of the most memorable voyages in the industry’s history.

The Arcadia was one of the first ships built by P&O Cruises, and it quickly became one of their flagship vessels. It was designed to be an all-encompassing ship that could easily accommodate passengers from all walks of life. The ship was known for its luxurious amenities and facilities that made it a top choice for those looking for an unforgettable cruise experience. It featured several restaurants, bars and lounges, as well as an onboard casino and shopping centre. The ship had five swimming pools, two tennis courts and even a nine-hole golf course.

Since then, the vessel has been sold several times but has yet to be put back into service – until recently! In 2020 it was announced that The Cruise Ship Arcadia would be returning to service with new owners under a new name – ‘Arcadia Odyssey’.

The new owners plan to refurbish and modernise the ship to make sure that it meets current safety regulations and standards – whilst also keeping its traditional character intact. Plans are currently underway for a 2021 launch date for ‘Arcadia Odyssey’, so watch this space!
